Dr. Landon Pryor is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Transformations Plastic Surgery in Rockford, Illinois. He began his medical education at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where he became fascinated by human anatomy. He also discovered a passion for reconstructive and plastic surgery.
After serving a residency in general surgery and plastic surgery at the Akron General Medical Center in Ohio, he undertook three fellowships devoted to various aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He earned his board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2010.
Dr. Pryor is an active member of several professional organizations, including the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Fellow American College of Surgeons. He has written papers for peer-reviewed medical journals like the “Journal of Craniofacial Surgery” and the “Aesthetic Surgery Journal.” Dr. Pryor has also given scientific presentations at various medical conferences.

What Kinds of Liposuction are Offered?
The most commonly used type of liposuction is still traditional liposuction. However, our experienced plastic surgeon has access to the latest and greatest in liposuction technology. SmartLipo™ is a variant of liposuction in which the cannula contains a laser fiber that heats up the fat cells and makes them clump together. The removal process is, thus, quicker than in conventional liposuction. SmartLipo™ can be used on its own for treating small areas, or it can be used along with conventional liposuction when treating a larger area, depending on the situation.
