Breast Augmentation is a popular procedure that increases breast size by surgically inserting breast implants or transferring fat to the breast area. For many women, breast augmentation provides a boost in self image and self-confidence by increasing the fullness and projection of the breasts and improving the overall balance of their figure.
Breast implant materials include silicone and saline. Implants can be placed sub-glandular (on top of chest muscle, beneath the breast tissue) or sub-muscular (beneath the pectoralis major muscle). The incision can be placed inframammary (beneath the breast fold), periareolar (at the edge of the areola), or transaxillary (under the arm).
Following a comprehensive consultation and examination, you and Dr. Pryor will work together to determine the best options to achieve your goals for fuller, more youthful looking breasts.
Breast Reduction, referred to as a reduction mammoplasty, is a procedure that removes excess skin, fat, and breast tissue to decrease patient’s breast size. The purpose of a breast reduction depends on the patients’ needs and expectations. For many women, having a breast reduction increases self-esteem and relieves pain associated with proportionate large breasts. During a consultation with Dr. Pryor, many concerns will be addressed to give the best outcome for a healthy and active lifestyle which includes but not limited to size, expectations, and self-image.
Breast Reconstruction is a very delicate and personal time in a woman’s life. This procedure is performed to mimic the natural appearance of breasts after trauma, mastectomy, or lumpectomy. Different options for Breast Reconstruction include expanders, implants and TRAM Flap. A TRAM flap is an approach used to reconstruct the breast with the patient’s own skin, fat, and muscle from the abdominal area. At Transformations Plastic Surgery, we are completely devoted to our patients through their journey of Breast Reconstruction not only after their surgery but also their future.
Breast Lift, also known as a mastopexy, is performed to raise the breast by removing excess skin, tightening the tissue, and refreshing the figure. This usually consists of making an incision around the areola and vertically down from the areola to breast crease. This incision will allow the tissues to be manipulated as well as placing the nipple and areola back to a youthful height.
Gynocomastia procedure is performed for men to remove excess fat and tissue in the breast area.
