At Transformations Plastic Surgery in Rockford, Illinois, we take pride in providing our patients with the latest and most effective treatments and products.
We are happy to provide our patients with treatments using the Alex TriVantage Laser, which can be used to tackle a number of aesthetic issues.
Following development of the pulsed dye laser to treat blood vessels, further research led to the development of new laser systems for skin treatments.
At Transformations Plastic Surgery, Candela’s Alex TriVantage Laser allows us to treat:
- Sunspots on your face.
- Age spots on the back of your hands.
- Tattoo removal.
Treatment of brown spots with the Alex TriVantage Laser typically takes one to three sessions. Tattoo removal can take many treatments, but the Alex TriVantage is extremely effective.
Here is a Q&A on the Alex TriVantage Laser:
Am I candidate for TriVantage treatment?
Good candidates for treatment should:
- Not be recently tanned.
- Not be pregnant.
- Not suffer from light-triggered seizures.
- Not have a skin infection or cold sores.
- Not wear a pacemaker.
- Have no history of allergies to strong light.
Is the Alex TriVantage Laser good for tattoo removal?
Yes. We find that dark colors tattooed on people with fair skin respond the best to treatment. Typically, pastel inks and non-professional tattoos are more difficult to remove.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required varies from patient to patient depending on a number of factors, including skin condition and what specific treatment you are seeking.
For example, skin conditions that can be treated by the Alex TriVantage Laser include birthmarks and tattoos. These typically require multiple treatments that are performed in intervals of about one treatment per month.
Our medical team at Transformations Plastic Surgery will help you customize a treatment plan that will offer you the best results.
Other skin conditions, including age spots and sun spots, will likely require far fewer treatment sessions.
Does Alex TriVantage Laser treatment hurt?
Most of our patients describe treatment as a bit uncomfortable at times, but not painful. The laser can be adjusted to different settings to promote comfortable treatment.
Some patients may experience mild redness, swelling or irritation on treated areas, but this is temporary and eventually disappears.
At Transformations, we encourage patients to be sure to properly care for skin areas treated by the Alex TriVantage Laser. Our experienced and courteous medical staff will be happy to help you create a post-treatment cleaning regimen.
Most patients find they can apply makeup once again several days after Alex TriVantage Laser treatment. And of course, we want patients to remain out of the sun as much as possible following treatment. If you do go out in the sun, we recommend using sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
